Week Two Reading


Although this video/clip is not very educationally appropriate as any other assignments I have ever done, I do in fact feel like it best suits what I felt, at least had in mind, while I read through the intro of "Teaching What Really Happened" and "Introduction to Lawns”. I first read A Brief History of Laws, and just with the first line, I had so many thoughts run through my head.  In both readings this week, what I got out of them was basically “why study history?” Which is a completely valid question. Why do we study it? People always say to focus on the future and live in the present. Although I am not a huge fan of any history related topic as I feel like I should be, I do believe history is important and intact should be studied. Sometimes people just do not care as to what has occurred in the past and do as they please in the now. I do believe history is repeating itself now in the world in certain aspects, which is why this video/clip has a strong connection to the readings and myself.
